Nasiem spent the last decade following her passion of helping  children with Special Needs. As a Behavior Therapist, working in demanding environments like special education classrooms and with struggling families, she began to notice the importance of self-care. While her hobbies of mountain climbing, diving, running and meditation all felt beneficial, Yoga became her ultimate retreat. She began a committed practice and decided to take a 200hr Power Yoga teacher training to deepen her own practice. After completing her training, she felt a strong drive to help others find solace through yoga. Nasiem created a program for Nurses and Doctors at a local Medical Center in Hawaii. She volunteered every week to provide them access to free yoga. It was through her teaching that she realized the impact she could have on her community.

After moving to the East Bay, Nasiem decided she wanted to continue infusing ease, strength and hope into people’s lives through yoga. In 2018, Nasiem stepped into her role as Owner of The Green Yogi. Her background in yoga and therapy, along with her extensive leadership training with organizations such as “Women’s leadership Lab” and “Women’s Training Group,” provide the essential tools to bring about change and growth in her beloved East Bay community.
