Her own exploration of yoga began 20 years ago after one of several extended trips to India and she has been enthusiastically dedicated to her practice ever since. Her teachings draw from the Hatha and Vinyasa yoga traditions, as well as from the emerging field of Yoga Therapeutics. She inspires her students to understand the biomechanics and alignment of their unique bodies, cultivate the skills to promote optimal health and develop a balanced yoga practice.

Off the mat, Maureen sources inspiration from beautiful landscapes, strong personal connections and bold adventures. Her path often leads to high mountains, remote deserts and rugged coastlines. She is an avid adventure traveler, hot spring lover and mama to two growing boys. Maureen comes to teaching yoga after years working as an activist and community organizer, and dedicates her yogic path to creating vibrant communities and leaving our planet a healthier place.
